About Us

Since the dawn of 2004, I embarked on a journey with bees, delving into the intricate world of apiculture. My humble beginnings were rooted in learning from fellow farmers and organizations, gradually evolving to become one of the established figures in beekeeping in Pokhara.

I proudly supply beehives, complete with or without their buzzing occupants, and all the necessary tools and materials essential for nurturing bees. Specializing in the cultivation of the “Cerena bee,” a common and cherished bee species in Nepal, I’ve carved my niche in the buzzing landscape of bee farming.

Known affectionately as “Bee Sir” in my community, I find joy and fulfillment in not only tending to the needs of these fascinating creatures but also in sharing my knowledge and experience with others keen on entering this profession. The unity and interdependence observed in bee colonies serve as valuable lessons, echoing the importance of teamwork and responsibility.

My initiation into apiculture came through training provided by the Lekhnath Chamber of Commerce, coupled with essential financial support. Today, I pay it forward by volunteering my services, offering training sessions, and even engaging in unconventional methods, such as wearing a suit of bees, to promote the beauty and importance of beekeeping.

From my beehive industry, a bounty of “modern beehive,” “honey,” “bee wax,” “kut,” “royal jelly,” “honeycomb,” and “honey tonic” is harvested. Locally sold and celebrated during festivals, these products hold cultural and religious significance, with honey being a vital component in Hindu worship rituals, including the revered panchamrit.

The tale of my beekeeping endeavors has found its way into local and national newspapers, attracting curious minds to my industry. Through challenges and triumphs, I consistently harvest over 20kg of honey annually from a single hive, contributing to an income ranging between Rs. 400,000-500,000. With an annual production of 1500-2000 beehives, and a personal bee farm hosting over 100 hives, I actively participate in the sale and purchase of beehives.

As an active member of both the “Lekhnath Bee Farmers Co-operative Limited” and the “Nepal Bee Farmers Association,” my vision extends beyond personal success. I aspire to elevate bee farming and beehive industries to a national scale in Nepal, promoting the production of organic honey for improved health and nutritional hygiene. Additionally, I aim to address unemployment issues in Nepal, curbing the mass exodus of individuals seeking employment abroad.

Amidst these pursuits, my personal hobbies reflect a genuine love for the craft – from making new friends to exploring the diverse landscapes of Nepal and studying emerging techniques in apiculture. Join me in this buzzing adventure, where passion, industry, and nature harmonize in the pursuit of a sweet and sustainable legacy.
